Born 1974, studied Philosophy and German Literature at Potsdam University. He has published numerous texts in publications including Bella triste, manuskripte and Edit. He is the author of the short stories "Bilder einer Heimfahrt" (2005) and "Covering Onetti" (2009). Martin Lechner lives and works in Berlin; Kleine Kassa (Petty Cash) is his first novel.
